What we don’t insure:
- Items to or from a storage unit.
- All outdoor items
- Dents, Scrapes or Scratches
- Missing Items that were “loose” and not packed in a box properly.
- Televisions not packed in original box.
- Any items packed by owner
- Any items not packed in a box “loose or misc items”
- Any particle board items
- Lamps and lamp shades
Any discount received, on the move, will deduct from the amount given, if any.
Included with your move is Basic Insurance if extra insurance was not purchased.
Basic Insurance is based on the weight of the item for destroyed or non-fixable items (based off $.60 per pound per article) – not based off the value of the item or estimated cost to fix the item. OR up to 5% back, from the cost of the move, for all damaged items.
To submit a claim – please submit photos, of item(s), before your move and after. Photos must be submitted within 3 days.
Full Coverage is based on the total cost of all items in the house. We only sell insurance with a $500 deductible. An itemized invoice must be submitted for the cost of repairs.
